[SOLVED] l1techs dp repeater + hdmi splitter @ 1080p240hz
hi, regarding a ~4 year old video, https://youtu.be/xGseozkxe_8?t=306. it is mentioned that the l1techs dp repeater + hdmi splitter can do 1080p240hz, but i am having trouble with getting that to work. can it do that resolution through both the dp out and hdmi out or just the dp out? my monitor works through the dp out @ 240hz just fine but my capture card connected to the hdmi out is unable to capture anything unless i change my refresh rate to 144hz.
my question is whether this is a limitation of the repeater or my capture card? so i know whether to get a capture card that can do hdmi 2.0 or not.

i have a fifine ampligame capture card, on the cheap end, so it will be fine for me to get one thats capable if thats the limiting factor
Yep, says on the product page it only supports up to 1080p120 passthrough
what capture card do you recommend? i would need something not relying on usb 3.2 gen 2 since i dont have those ports

no unfortunately i have a a520i motherboard for the recording pc, has one pcie slot
does not have usb-c either

seems that way, i found a capture card claiming to do 1080p240 but im doubting whether it can do it or not. brand is kastwave, seems kind of sketchy. if it doesnt work ill just return it.

I guess this issue can be solved, the sketchy capture card I found works fine.
The brand that arrived was different than the one I ordered.
