How to play with Epic Games Store saves?
It can see my EGS friends but not saves?

Saves are managed with cloud save sync in a game’s settings page in Heroic. Friends are added in the EOS overlay in game
Saves are not synced by default so verify the save folder before enabling auto sync

That looks like the process has completed
If you want to force pull your cloud save, choose Force Download
It uses last updated timestamps, and if you ran an empty game locally, you’ll technically have a newer save but with no real data

Shift + F3, if you have enabled the overlay in settings. You should see the pop up when you boot the game if it’s enabled

Found it, 3 different menus in launcher for same things :/ and it still doesn't work anyway

Hi, i can't find it in the settings of the game in the launcher. I have EOS overlay installed but i cannot open it inside the game using shift +F3
Note that the game in question needs to support the EOS Overlay. Not every game does
The "problem" here is that the EOS install is a one-time, global thing, but enabling is a per-game (or rather per-wineprefix) configuration change. One menu (the global settings in the sidebar) only carries global options, while the 3-dot menu on the game page (and the game settings) has per-game configuration
Note that you could've just clicked "Enable EOS Overlay" & Heroic would've prompted you to install it. The option in the global settings is only there in case you want to update the overlay
I've highlighted the location of the "Enable EOS Overlay" option in the 3-dot menu
If that option says "Disable EOS Overlay" instead, you've already enabled the overlay for this game. At that point your only concern is whether the game supports the overlay. As mentioned, most games don't
Hello, quick update regarding the EOS Overlay. We've found that the latest version of it broke something; a fix was identified and will most likely be included in the next GE-Proton version

it's not something that needs to be enabled more than once

also, we try to enable the EOS overlay automatically, users shouldn't even need to do that (the button there is intended to be able to disable it manually, not to have to enable it)
so the problem here to solve is why did that happen that it failed to install/enable it automatically, the button doesn't really need to be more visible cause you shouldn't need to use it at all
