[Truenas] Failed to read upload/library/.immich: Error: ENOENT: no such file or directory

Hello, I am trying to install immich where the libary folder is setup as an SMB share. Unfortunately it is not starting up with the mentioned error message. I followed the userguide at https://immich.app/docs/install/truenas and gave the libary dataset ACL Type SMB/NFSv4 with ACL mode Passthrough. All other datasets have POSIX permissions though. My env looks like this SSD pool /apps - immich/machinelearning - immich/postgres - immich/profiledata - immich/thumbs HDD pool - photos --> = libary - immich/upload - immich/backup - immich/video Log output:
[Nest] 6 - 05/18/2025, 6:38:50 PM LOG [Microservices:StorageService] Verifying system mount folder checks, current state: {"mountChecks":{"thumbs":true,"upload":true,"backups":true,"library":true,"profile":true,"encoded-video":true}} [Nest] 6 - 05/18/2025, 6:38:50 PM ERROR [Microservices:StorageService] Failed to read upload/library/.immich: Error: ENOENT: no such file or directory, open 'upload/library/.immich' microservices worker error: Error: Failed to read "<UPLOAD_LOCATION>/library/.immich - Please see https://immich.app/docs/administration/system-integrity#folder-checks for more information.", stack: Error: Failed to read "<UPLOAD_LOCATION>/library/.immich - Please see https://immich.app/docs/administration/system-integrity#folder-checks for more information." at StorageService.verifyReadAccess (/usr/src/app/dist/services/storage.service.js:84:19) at async /usr/src/app/dist/services/storage.service.js:38:21 at async /usr/src/app/dist/repositories/database.repository.js:250:27 at async /usr/src/app/node_modules/kysely/dist/cjs/kysely.js:535:20 at async DefaultConnectionProvider.provideConnection (/usr/src/app/node_modules/kysely/dist/cjs/driver/default-connection-provider.js:12:20) at async /usr/src/app/dist/repositories/database.repository.js:247:13 microservices worker exited with code 1 Killing api process

Forgott to add the Version: App Version:v1.132.3 Version:v1.7.44 Pretty sure its a permission problem. the libary folder has owner root/root, SMB sharing was disabled before install.

Did you read the link from the error message?

Yes. I should have mentioned that this is a reinstall, and I had another folder configured as libary before. But, this error message pops up when its trying to deploy the (re)installation, so imho the .-immich file was never written to that dataset. The dataset of the old installation for testing was "photos2"... now its just "photos".

My guess is you're still using the database from the previous install

I will uninstall and delete the folder contents manually to be sure Well there is still data in there... Welp, seems like the database not being wiped was the problem. Thanks for your help. /close
