Bazzite's compatibility with NVIDIA Turing+
First of all: hello there! I'm a new member of this server. Nice to meet you all.
Now, to the main topic: I have a few questions regarding Bazzite on NVIDIA GPUs (Turing and newer, I own a laptop with RTX 2060). I have not installed Bazzite yet, but I wanna know a few things:
1. Does Bazzite come ONLY with the Wayland desktop (without the X11 session)? I assume it does, since Fedora devs made that decision themselves.
2. By default, the Bazzite website offers the nvidia-open ISO for Turing cards and newer. How are kernel-open drivers gonna work with Wayland? Last time I tried it on Arch, I had to switch to proprietary drivers and disable GSP – otherwise, my Wayland experience would be laggy and absolutely horrible! AFAIK, you can't disable GSP with the nvidia-open drivers.
I'm curious to know how Bazzite works with such GPUs.

1. Yes, Wayland only, but we have XWayland for X11 app support
2. Current nvidia drivers work out of the box on wayland at full speed. That lagginess has long been fixed by Nvidia.
GOD BLESS!! I don't remember which drivers I was using back when I had problems with GSP. Probably 560 or 565. I hope everything is gonna be okay with 570.
Thank you for your answer!
haven't heard anyone complain about lagginess on 570.144
except in game mode
that has some menu lag
The Bazzite website also says that the Gaming Mode is not doing well on Nvidia cards, so you can pick an ISO without it :coolfingergunscry:
