Custom EDID applied to all connectors?
So I installed a custom EDID to add a virtual monitor
(following this guide
:
https://www.reddit.com/r/linux_gaming/comments/199ylqz/streaming_with_sunshine_from_virtual_screens
) and the VM appears correctly
. Great
! The only caveat is that it seems the new EDID is being applied to my physical monitor as well
?
The kernel arg is clearly pointing to a specific connector
:
drm.edid_firmware=HDMI-A-1:edid/samsung-q800t-hdmi2.1
drm.edid_firmware=HDMI-A-1:edid/samsung-q800t-hdmi2.1
while my physical monitor is on
DP-1
DP-1
. Any idea
?
