awe shit they made #recent-purchases into a totd
I put myself on a cop freeze since February since I got my Kapital cowichan.
It fits exactly how I want and was a grail purchase that I've wanted for a couple of years. My only disappointment comes from the fact that I can't wear it all the time due to climate and practicality.

-vintage armani sunglasses (Vinted): too small š¦ I'll sell them back
-Eytys cropped sweater (Vinted): Fits good but arrived with a small stain I've yet to attempt to remove, crossing fingers.
-M+FG Pleated denim jacket(Vinted): fits well, color not as advertised (grey/black denim and not dark blue). Corroded buttons I couldn't manage to save, I'll replace them
-Acne sweater/cape (Vinted): Perfect condition and I really like it
-Interesting chinese wrinkled shirt (Vinted): cool frfr
-Tested another Vietnamese brand with really creative designs, mixed thoughts, everything fits and looks great but inconsistent quality (stitching and feel) between the different pieces I ordered. I received that stuff litterally yesterday and haven't washed it all yet so can't say much more yet.
Then my yesstyle skincare order still hasn't arrived :nooooo:
Sooo a very mixed bag, best purchase of the month turned out to be my rice cooker
:xd: oh boy
here we go
I got this for 10 bucks on Vinted because it was in super bad shape
I thought it was super pretty and that it would be a fun project to restore it, which so far is going pretty well
Iām still gonna try and remove even more stains and also fix some stitching which has come loose but I definitely already brought it back to a condition in which I can wear it again
Iām gonna give it an 8/10

Sillage set: 10/10 I like it a lot and will get a lot of wear out of it in the summer
Rigards glasses: 10/10 make me look like a villain and I love it

Spent $14 dollars for a yard of fabric for the fit battle, didnt end up using it, 0/5
Got the wrong color because I misplaced my swatch
Spent another $14 at the laundromat and still had to do my own laundry, if i knew clothing was a subscription purchase i never would have started wearing clothes, 0/5
-Dries wool shorts: big fan nice wide structured fit the wool is a almost tropical loose weave very comfy belt is a fun detail as well on sale at SVRN (pic 1)
-Dries Lace shirt: very nice linen fabric with a really neat lace that feels pretty unique to a lot of stuff i have seen, very open and wears extremely cool in hot weather $225 from a friend retail $2700 (pic 2 and 3)
-Dita Noxya sunglasses: ssense sale purchase that ended up working great, sunglasses online is always a bit of a gamble but im very happy with how they worked out (pic 1 and 4)
-7115 Cropped tee: 50/50 linen cotton blend tee in a really cropped fit super nice for summer quickly becoming a favorite $80 (pic 3)
-Vinny's Fisherman sandals: idk they aren't here yet but they look real nice (pic 5)
- Anglan valley tuck pants: fun more techy pants in a nylon blend very nice shape great for quick casual wear $(pic 6)
I think that's it for like my last spring summer buy and it better be the last, but im currently very happy with my wardrobe and recent buys... now i just gotta actually wear the clothes and cook up some fits

Yall not adding prices are cowards
Iām jk
bet
Glasses rip, really add a perfect final touch to your style
Make sure to post the ornate tanlines you get from the dries
really twisting the arm here
:xd: I already have an awful tanline at my arms i dont need flowers too
Iām bullying yall because iām broke and canāt buy anything
Shorts are great
Its insanely cool
I bought a couple tees from Reigning Champ and love them. I also ordered a pair of loafers from Blackstock and Weber that are taking FOREVER to ship. Hopefully they are worth the wait.
Sillage cords: cheap on Depop seemingly bc theyāre missing the drawstring and one of the drawstring holes was sewn shut (āa small repairā). Shipped in a taped up grocery bag. Odd history, but beautiful pants, way different than anything else I have, I love them. ($90)
ASICS X Andersson Bell Gel-1090: popped up a couple times in inspo I was gathering and nothing else lit my brain up like all the extra laces and hooks and stuff. No regrets, theyāre super fun and the color way works well with my wardrobe. ($110)
Estudio Niksen pants: was excited about the cut but worried about the poly blend, found a pair secondhand and went for it. Theyāre super comfy and I had nothing to worry about. Love the drape. Been wearing a lot of earth tones but want more black stuff and these check that box. Pick up lots of cat hair so people know Iām an animal lover. ($60)

Fuck you for the prices. This goes back like to late March I suppose lmao:
- Ujoh Suit: Amazing, everything I wanted, the pieces work as separates too. The perfect suiting pick up.
- CMMAWEAR Batwing Jacket: Great, insanely cropped, fits really well into my spring jacket rotation, has cool details, is a nice poly-wool blend that's kinda waterproof. Fuck the haters I like it a lot.
- ALD Mesh Polo - haven't really got much use yet but but it was a great price used and will be a great summer piece.
- Buck Mason Tee Shirts: Nice tee shirts.
- SFC Wide Boy Trouser in Black Tropical wool: Exactly what I wanted for summer.
- Versace Bit Loafers: Really cheap sale piece, loud and obnoxious, perfect for summer.
- LGN Brown Summer trousers with Box Pleats: Another great summer pick up, need a hem but good. 50% off ssense nab.

Actually y'all don't need the prices
We need that bchan magnifying glass emoji
-Cute little tooled leather bag, fits everything i need when i donāt want to weigh down pockets, and i like this look over my milsurp and workwear stuff in particular! $25
-Straw hat i got specifically for this fit battle look, planned out the whole outfit but wanted something to pull it together. Still figuring out if it fits into my wardrobe. Actually too small but my plan is to resteam it and deform it in a yohji way hopefully. $28
-Impulse purchase sun glasses right before taking these fit battle pics, they stack over my prescription glasses nicely which is good because i donāt think i can change the lenses. $25
-snagged this Rick Owens garment bag from work because i liked the fabric, ended up using it as an accessory. Probably will cut it apart, but i was proud of this styling. $0

Vintage ralph hand knit (ā¬60): I love this piece, I have another south western hand knit rollneck that I wear all the time when it's cold but this guy is cotton/linen/silk so it's very wearable SS. Slightly weird and long cut but the pattern and textures are great.
101-j (ā¬16): Believe it or not I'd sworn to never get a conventional denim jacket. I just thought a middle aged dude built like a hobbit in a crisp denim jacket would look so try hard but I thought I could land the rider jacket in a light wash as a lighthearted piece and I feel like it's a huge success.
Cabourn Carpenter Dungarees (ā¬250 - they were essentially nwot): I've always wanted a pair of Cabourn dungarees. The carpenters in brown duck came out, I think, 5 years ago before I was spending real money on clothes. I've been hunting for a pair in my size ever since. They do not disappoint and I've only started down the road of figuring them out. Very happy with the details like the toggles on the sides instead of buttons and the multi layer button / zip fly, so good.

:xd: yeah did not know that was a garment bag, i fully just thought it was a cool rick cape
bager styling
Thrifted Hockey top, Thrifted Gold's gym tank, CCP prosthetic boots, Rogue Territory waxed jacket, CCP pentasir knit
I love all of them! In my grey era

Literally the item that came in it was the rick garment bag gown: https://www.rickowens.eu/en/US/men/products/rr01e5501sg-41

Oh and this goros necklace š¤

I broke my cop freeze and went on a recent buying spree, oops.
Lemaire twisted jeans, Frankie shop oversized collar shirt and filt croissant bag are doing hard work right now. Twisted jeans are comfortable and filling in for my parachute pants while they're in the wash. I'm trying to avoid falling into the trap of buying something else to match with a recent purchase, but a tie or smth would be fun with the Frankie shop shirt. Bag is by far the largest every day bag I own so I'm excited to be able to carry more crap in the future.
It's the wrong weather to wear the tricot CDG I bought at the moment, so I'll pass judgement on it until November. The Issey coat hasn't been worn yet and tbh will be a challenge to wear in context with the rest of my wardrobe

Love the filt croissant, so tempted.
I also bought this shirt recently from a minju kim collab, it's dissimilar to basically most of my wardrobe but that's mostly because I've failed to build any sort of meaningful summer wardrobe. Hope it works out :xd:

I love it too!! I was tempted by the midnight violet version
If I see one irl I might double up
I've had a pretty great run recently on buying things that have fit extremely well with my wardrobe and how I dress.
First are these Y2 engineer boots I bought a couple months ago. I've had a pair of black engineer boots in mind for a considerable period as something that I wanted to add to my wardrobe, but there isn't anywhere around me to try these on. Luckily a UK based store got a restock and after chatting to the owner we nailed the fit on these first time.
Second was a freenote cloth western shirt I found secondhand for an extremely good price compared to new. I was a little unsure as it's a 2xl but trusted the measurements from the seller and it worked out great.
Third a pair of Keen sandals I initially bought purely for practical use of going on holiday and wanting footwear that I can get wet and not have to worry about trying to dry them out for the next day. Turns out I actually quite like them and they work well with my wardrobe.
Fourth were these Gramicci pants that popped up heavily discounted on the gramicci site. I hadn't been looking for any new pants but I bought them on a whim and turns out I absolutely love them. Nice loose fit and they again work really well with my existing clothes. Also picture are a pair of Yuketen Maine Guide boots I got for a very good price secondhand on a bit of a whim

Bops:
Maybe the most I've spent on a non-suit, shoe, or jacket item, but these PBJ jeans were worth every penny.
Paraboot x Drakes boat shoe. Time will tell on these but two days in and I love them. Hope they last. Almost balked at price but said fuck it once I realized I can get my custom inserts in them perfectly.
Excited for this 70s velvet blazer once it's been let out. Can also peep the Aidama shirt Shrimp sold me; still figuring it out but it's a great piece.
Left Field Indigo selvedge shorts - not cheap even with the sale, but very comfy and wide and flexible.

Flops:
Thought an Irish linen Barracuda Harrington would be great for summer. Unconvinced so far. Did use it for an audition though, so there's that.
J Peterman Rain pullover. Gets soaked in the rain. Maybe I can wax it idk. Disappointed.
Sadly, struggling a bit with the ALD hat I coveted from Art's fits for a long time. Also dunno if I can ever make the moonswatch work.
Orslow jeans are comfy but way too slim for me. Not regretting yet, but just jarring how different my preferences are now than they were pre pandemic.

Story MFG Pumpkin King Cardigan - Iām on the fence. Iāve wanted a Story knit for years, and I think the cardigan fills a good spot, but I havenāt ever grown a pumpkin so I feel self conscious about wearing a knit that says āPumpkin Kingā across the back. I will either sell it or grow a bunch of pumpkins.
Camber Hoodie - Comically tight neckline but otherwise great for layering and fits the wrists and waist really nicely. This got a ton of wear recently and it is genuinely v warm.
Blake Edwards pants - Picked up from Understory and added some elastic to the waistband. The fabric is mid-weight and holds its shape in a way that I find pleasing. Good 3 season pants that Iām excited to really wear in.
Carhartt K87 - Iāve worn these off and on over the years but really theyāre the perfect fit for me and I can get them off eBay for like, a couple of dollars. I was on the Lady White Co/expensive plain T shirt train for a long time but they just donāt beat the fit of the Carhartts, both on body and in my wardrobe.
Gramicci Jeans - Proxied these bad boys to replace my Leviās Silvertabs and couldnāt be happier. Self-belted, gusseted crotch, little bit of stretch. I loved the look of the Leviās but they never fit quite right and I didnāt like to go on walks with them, and I really like to go on walks.
Montbell Down T - Havenāt gotten to wear this much yet but Iām really happy with it. Montbell is one of my new favorite brands tbh. Itās goofy but lightweight and warm and I think itās a fun addition to a category Iāve traditionally struggled with (vests)
Hon. Mention Spring 1992 Patagonia Synchilla Fleece - I didnāt buy this my wife got it for me, but it was my go-to all winter. A bit boxy, a bit cropped, my favorite shade of green. Just sits well in my wardrobe, and the lighter weight is good for the milder climate.

Pumpkin King is a state of mind, the knit looks great on you!
japanese petty knife was my first purchase over 100$ this year, been on a strict cop freeze but engaging in #finds is not good for my strict budget
Ooooh how is the petty knife
I thought about buying one
70s h bar c western suit - iām literally wearing it rn. no regrets -100$
spearpoijt deadstock kids shirt- im honestly surprised it almost fits. also wearing it rn -5$
jewlry and watch - fun and super cheap. finally have a ring that actually fits
starch creased 80s 13mwz - harder to style then i expected
new ballence 990s - hopefully will help my feet, but im struggling styling them
old maps- seeing the smile on my sisters face was worth it idc the price
still in da case bought it two days ago lol have not gotten home yet but will report when i get back
just a lighter purchase than a regular chef knife and to dip my toe into artisanal japanese knives
Been wanting to get something more fun, and wanted to get a cardigan. Went with something fruity. I don't think it was worth the cost with 62 euros of shipping, but I do like it. 7/10 for me

These are killer dude (all of them)
Thanks! Your fits are big inspo for me, especially leaning into the more gorp stuff like the sandals. Appreciate that ā¤ļø
Super happy with these recent buys:
1. DM mary janes feel like they really fit the fits I go for
2. Rings were my first introduction to accessorizing, and I absolutely love how them stacked
3. YMC deadbeat trousers were a cool new silhuoette, and I like how they swish when I walk

Didnt quite like this jacket fabric drape, and it's too tight in the chest to button so it got sold

Shame about the jacket, the pink was a great colour
Yeah tbh my expectation were so high when I saw the listing
so sick, i remember reading your q&a post about the style you want to move toward and it seems like youāre doing a great job!!
