Ayaneo Geek 1s + eGPU setup
Hello everyone,
I'm having some strange problems in setting up my Ayaneo Geek 1s with a Razer Core X containing an AMD RX5700 via usb-c. I already installed all-ways-gpu latest release and set it up to use method 2/3, while the eGPU is connected to my TV as an external monitor.
What I found is that, while booting with the eGPU connected, on the console screen it says "Console does not support current video mode", then the boot logo appears in portrait mode both on the console and the TV, then finally the signal to the TV is cut off and the console boots in game mode with video output just on its screen and the eGPU is not listed in system.
While in desktop mode I see that the Core X is connected and authorized as a thunderbolt device.
Is it a bios issue? Has anyone encountered something similar and will be able to help? Thank you so much in advance!

interested in this issue too.
If needed, I can provide video proof of the issue
Ok, the message you see is normal. It means that the bios does not contain the proper firmware for your GPU. It's completely expected.
The fact that you do not obtain any output might be related to:
1)Not setting up the script correctly, did you put the analog AMD audio as "internal"?
Internal: internal GPU + HDMi
External: eGPU +eGPU HDMI
Try to uninstall the script and plug the eGPU into desktop mode to check if it's recognized. Also use central top or bottom USB4
2)kernel parameters needed:

Please refer to my thread on the forum. I had the same setup and I detailed many possible solutions over the year, I would start with PCI=nomconf

Hello guys. I am still in contact with Ayaneo. Some devices have already updated bios and EC but 1s have not been updated yet. A quick update: -Audio jack fixed -Egpu working -Resume, works with hibernation workaround Great device overall nowadays. Bazzite is at its peak performance. Can’t wait for kernel 6.14 for NTSYNC!
Ok, I will try those fixes now and let u know asap. I didn't know abiut the kernel parameters and about setting also the analog AMD audio as internal, my bad. So, the BIOS message is to be expected and can be ignored? Should I try and update the BIOS? I think I'm at the latest release though
I know the eGPU is recognized and authorized, I verified it in desktop mode. I'm using the correct ports
Wouldn't setting internal GPU + HDMi as internal disable audio while the console is disconnected from the egpu?
1. rpm-ostree kargs --append-if-missing=pci=nommconf
or
2. rpm-ostree kargs --append-if-missing=video=pci=nommconf
?
I set the kernel parameters with the second option
I set the script up like this
