Game: The Last of Us Part I (Epic Games)
Proton Version: GE-Proton10.1
Storage Location: Installed on internal SSD
Heroic Type: Flatpak
I’m trying to launch The Last of Us Part I through Heroic Games Launcher (Flatpak version) on Steam Deck, using the Epic Games version of the game. I’ve followed setup instructions including Proton GE configuration and environment tweaks, but the game fails to start entirely.
• I press “Play” in Heroic
• A black screen appears briefly like a dialog box run with code and the game crashes back to Heroic without any error

can you turn on verbose logs?
Game Log: IMPORTANT: Logs are disabled. Enable verbose logs in Game's settings > Advanced tab > 'Enable verbose logs' before reporting an issue.

also enable umu - check and uncheck the disable umu box right next to verbose logging

maybe try setting the alternative exe to be
