Is differential form of gauss law really that imp for solving hard sums?

I only found like 1-2 sums which made it easier Should it just strike me to use it whenever there's variable E given?

I mean, sure, if you want to find a charge distribution, you can use it It's a very niche tool, just like Gauss' Law in the integral form.

The good part is that you can apply the differential form without a need for symmetry Yes

Yeah So Moral of it Should only even think of it for variable E Otherwise it would be easier just doing normally Right?

Yeah, and even for variable E, you're gonna need either the function definition of it or two values to get the derivative. Make sure you have all the required information.
