Issue with Immich Upgrade - Incompatable database?

I followed the releases guide in upgrading but i'm stuck with seemingly an incompatable database?

Error: 
The data directory was initialized by PostgreSQL version 14, which is not compatible with this version 16.8 (Debian 16.8-1.pgdg120+1).


Server is also in a reboot loop
