I'm installing Bazzite on a custom desktop with an AMD 3400G processor and 3600XT graphics card.
Installation went fine, but when I first attempted to boot, I consistently end up with the spinning wheel of the boot menu
Alt tabbing into the bootup messages, it's getting stuck in one of four places
- Starting setroubleshootd
- Just after mounting my NVMe SSD, on which I think everything except /boot and UEFI are on
- Starting modemmanager
- Building kargs
On the building kargs scenario, it spits the error "Failed to connect to system scope bus via local transport". This is shortly after beginning to start bazzite-hardware-setup
I've tried:
- Reinstalling multiple times (in fact, the first install gave me a completely different and seemingly unrelated problem)
- Disabling CSM
- Disabling secure boot
- Rebooting multiple times
I also can't tab into a terminal. Tabbing out makes the wheel spin, but no terminal appears. I've tried seeing if I can blindly type commands by attempting to tab out, login, and do a shutdown command. That doesn't work either.
