what would happen if my branch compute exceeded the plan?
would the entire db go down or what? i dont understand what it is exactly

Hi! On the Free plan, you get 5 compute hours on non-default branch computes each month. https://neon.tech/docs/introduction/plans#free-plan-allowances
That limit will not suspend your DB/prevent access.
The Data transfer limit, if reached, will suspend your computes.
