Is my suit too long?
Hi everyone. I bought a new suit which I think is a bit long. I feel like it fits me decently well, but that the jacket is too long, both in the sleeves and for the body. Do you guys agree with this?
If it is indeed too long, is shortening the sleeves and body of the jacket reasonable alterations for a tailor?

I think I see button holes on your sleeves? That makes it harder to shorten them, cause you’ll have to shorten at the shoulder rather than hem. Did they have a short size where you got this?
I got the suit second hand. Its a 50R I think a 50S probably exist but its so difficult finding short version suits 😦
me personally i would just style it in a looser, baggier way

hmm I have an oversized t-shirt and some chunky boots that could work. It wasn't the look I had intended to go for but I'll try it!
An alternate could just be a button up shirt that you tuck loosely
with a more casual dress shoe/ sneaker and a cap
oh interesting going with a cap! I could try a loose tie as well

Depends on how you want to style it. I'd say the sleeves are kinda too long regardless but everything else can just be styled/leaned into
agree with both beans and levi; the sleeves and pants are a little long imo (you can use hem tape as a quick fix to see) but otherwise would lean into it being a loose suit, especially for summer
