[2021-01-05 10:37:05 AM] : around 6700 people have gone through the course, so something like 20% clicked at least one "send next" link [2021-01-05 10:38:29 AM] : yeah, i followed Brennan's outline from Mastering ConvertKit, so it's an automation that sends each email individually, waits 24 hours, and sends the next one... unless they click the link, in which case in increments a counter and then sends the next one early. [2021-01-05 10:39:16 AM] : afaik CK doesn't have a way to advance someone through a sequence manually, so it's a bit of a hassle [2021-01-05 10:44:02 AM] : Thats what thought i.e. thats not a native CK function [2021-01-05 10:44:16 AM] : yeah :disappointed: [2021-01-05 10:44:38 AM] : Sounds like you got it working though. [2021-01-05 10:47:44 AM] : yeah it's just very long and unwieldy [File hidden by Slack limit] [2021-01-05 10:53:02 AM] : Yikes! I guess its a do it once and forget. For the 20% of visitors its great they don't have to wait either ... but ... yeah ... I better budget some extra time if I go that route! [2021-01-05 02:23:28 PM] :  i haven't done any automation with ConvertKit yet, and honestly it's mostly because i'm worried about ending up down a rabbit hole with it [2021-01-05 02:24:04 PM] : dceddia that screenshot hasn't helped hah :joy: [2021-01-05 02:41:25 PM] : haha sorry  on the plus side, i haven't had to touch that thing since i set it up [2021-01-05 02:44:57 PM] : that's good to hear :slightly_smiling_face: i get the impression the learning curve for automation with ConvertKit will be steep, but i'll get to keep rinsing and repeating the same techniques [2021-01-05 02:45:03 PM] : does that match your experience? [2021-01-05 02:47:38 PM] : yeah, i'd say so. it's more or less visual programming, but the "toolbox" they provide is pretty small, so you've gotta get creative sometimes.
