*Progress post* :roc
[2021-12-11 01:11:10 PM] : Progress post :rocket:
I finished a large chunk of the course and decided to execute. Found a few ideas but the one I'm closest to is an AI first line writer. This is because it's related to what I do (marketing and sales) so I understand the problem best and I know other people like me have this problem.
What pain will this address? :scream_cat:
Existing Behavior: When marketers or sales reps need to send cold emails to someone, they do at least a few minutes of research on the prospect to write a custom first line in the email to grab the reader's attention and show that they actually care.
The pain here is that this gets too cumbersome to do for 100s of leads per week, if not more! The solution most resort to is writing something generic and the problem is lower response rates to their outbound emails.
Vehicle
The solution vehicle here is an AI that can write these first lines for a sales rep, saving hours every week and increasing response rates (consequently sales).
There's healthy competition in the space with tools such as SmartWriter and Lyne. They seem to have established products that work well. Initially, seeing competitors was a bummer but I realised this actually just validates the space.
I'm considering niches to build for so I have a wedge to enter with (eg: Influencer Marketing, Lead gen agencies). Proper niche-specific messaging and an AI trained specifically using niche-related examples can be a good moat to start.
Next steps - I'm emailing and connecting with prospective buyers in these niches and seeing if there's need for a specific tool like this. Sounds good?
Let me know if there's something else I should do! I'll keep you all posted :slightly_smiling_face:

[2021-12-12 02:49:43 AM] : I went through part 1 and a bit of part 2, but got too excited so I'm currently in execution mode.
I did Safari and that's how I found the problem. The behavior exists already: People hire freelancers and pay them ~$1 per custom line written. I've done this in my work too.
I'm not sure what e-bombs I should write here which is why I've been hesitant. It's B2B and cold email best practices is a popular topic many leaders have written about (cc: alex)
I am answering and asking questions on forums about this though just to get a deeper sense of the market.
[2021-12-12 09:16:09 AM] : If you skip the part where you write ebombs to grow your list, you skip the part where you have a way to distribute your product to people who are likely to want to buy it.
Every part of the process has a job, skip them at your peril!
[2021-12-12 09:18:03 AM] : Ebombs and list building IS execution mode too. Not just a pre-requisite but part of the system. It's all execution.
[2021-12-12 09:56:05 AM] : If you're not sure what ebombs to write I would suggest going back to part one and revisiting those lessons. Follow the steps!
[2021-12-12 07:27:54 PM] : Yeah I was looking at them as pre-requisites and not as execution. But what you're saying makes total sense. Will do!
