[2021-12-20 08:20:05 AM] : 1. Revenue up 33% to $36K (for products, did some training last year that I didn't this year, but I don't feel that's quite same category). 2. Newsletter doubled. I took some steps to improve conversions, can probably do a lot better. 3. Now have reduced hours since I'm doing more childcare/house upkeep, with the tradeoff that I need to spend less time on contracting to pay bills, so in practice time spent on products business is the same, maybe higher. 4. Decided to give up on training. 5. Building on two years of e-bombs separate from my main product line, including open source tool, accelerated work on what I hope will be level up for business, a subscription software tool that is a SaaS-lite. How lite is possible is something I'll have to see. [2021-12-20 09:06:57 PM] : that’s awesome man. thanks for sharing. any specific goals/plans for 2022? [2021-12-20 09:09:43 PM] : subscription revenue, via item 5 [2021-12-20 09:09:55 PM] : ideally enough to replace my current contracting [2021-12-21 12:56:52 AM] : Nice itamar! I’ve not heard of SaaS-lite before and a quick Goog search didn’t really turn up anything interesting. What is that? [2021-12-21 07:38:18 AM] : basically trying to do as little of the SaaS as I can [2021-12-21 07:38:51 AM] : this is a performance/memory profiler, measure software performance [2021-12-21 07:39:05 AM] : and I could build a whole SaaS web UI, but I am trying to avoid that [2021-12-21 07:39:27 AM] : and e.g. just generate static reports [2021-12-21 12:12:28 PM] : Gotcha, thanks :slightly_smiling_face: I do like that moniker for a SaaS. It seems to somehow align (in my own head) with a “tiny product” but more well defined for this specific case of a SaaS product. [2021-12-21 12:35:53 PM] : it's still a lot of work
