[2021-12-22 09:59:25 AM] : I have switched audience from iOS dev to Ruby dev, then to merchants using Shopify at start of this year.
I originally wanted to make a simple Rails / Shopify app so I can have more topics to write for my Ruby blog (regarding deployment, etc), then somehow this app gained traction, and I decided to pivot to Shopify merchants audience.
After a few months of Safari and participating on waterholes, I noticed a particular group of similar pains related to Draft Order, and decided to spend one month to build another simple Shopify app for this, and replied on threads asking for app recommendation for this kind of features.
My shopify blog started to gain a tiny bit of traffic, I don't know if it contributes to sales of the app, but I am still happy with it.
I didn't collect email list or announce launch, but I did Safari, contribute to forum threads, and make and share ebombs whenever possible. I feel very lucky that my apps has gained traction.
1st app MRR: $1300 (launched at end of January)
2nd app MRR: $300 (launched at mid June)
