a few updates on my

[2022-01-06 09:28:53 PM] : a few updates on my work if anybody’s interested: i’ve been working on adding a chunk of chapters to my book. today i finished that work. now that that’s done, the next step is to relaunch the book. when i first launched the book in 2019, i made about $1000. in 2021 i rewrote the book from scratch, launched it and made about $7000. we’ll see how this one goes. i have low expectations since it’s just a minor update and the most recent launch wasn’t that long ago. i haven’t put much work into it so whatever comes of the launch will just be a nice bonus. the “real” thing i have my sights set on is the rails testing course i’ve been working on for some time now. i paused work on that in order to work on my book update, and now i plan to return to building the course. my rough plan is 8 more-or-less standalone modules that will be about $100-200 each and all launched separately (but cumulatively). then i plan to sell the whole package for the sum of the prices of the modules minus some reasonable bulk discount. i’m shooting for sometime this summer to have the first course available.

[2022-01-07 05:36:02 AM] : As a format idea, chunking the course into standalone modules and then bundling them might work for what I've been considering. Also hopefully quicker to produce. Had some nice comments from my beginners course about when next stuff comes out they'd be interested, but I have been wrangling scope v price v time v the promise to include all updates to the existing course. A related modular approach your suggesting might make a lot of sense, plus allow people to "pick n mix" the things that are relevant to them. Thanks for sharing your ideas - as ever buddy. Sure you're set for a great year :slightly_smiling_face: [2022-01-07 08:33:19 AM] : thanks! yes, i hope so
