[2022-01-09 12:57:15 PM] : I had a tough time building up client work in the first half of last year. This had a big impact on my mental health and sucked up a lot of my time and energy for other things. Despite that, I still learnt a lot of new things, and was able to achieve lots of little wins over the year.
My big win for the year was launching a paid remote workshop at the end of November, which I then ran twice in December. I really enjoyed it. I'm planning to reuse the materials I created for that a lot this year.
My stats for 2021:
- Content: 19 ebomb blog posts, 3 videos
- Subscribers: started with 152, ended with 526 (343% growth)
- Product sales revenue: £630 (ebook £175 + live workshop £455) vs £322 (ebook) in 2020 (195% growth)
- Technical writing revenue: £709 (opportunities came as direct result of my ebomb blog posts)
I'm currently working on plans to run the workshop again, and spin off a shorter, lower cost workshop. I'm also considering reworking and expanding the ebook.
I've written a year in review blog post with more details if you're curious: https://simonplend.com/2021-year-in-review/
I did lots of watering hole participation last year, but very little proper Sales Safari. I'm hoping to do better with that this year. Think I'll probably take the course all the way through again as I'm sure a refresher will help!
