[2022-03-03 09:25:36 PM] : yeah, google is constantly re-crawling sites and looking for updates. bumping the date is a good signal that there’s something new. i don’t usually bother with the date if i’m fixing typos or something, but if i added something substantial i’ll update it.

[2022-03-08 08:40:09 PM] : I dunno :shrug: I think a big part of “SEO” is actually about making pages people will be happy to click on and stay to read. From that standpoint, for dev articles especially, I could see a visitor being uneasy if there's no date or an old date.
