[2022-04-07 04:19:37 PM] : If it's a product that easily fits into your existing site and its topics, then I think it would be beneficial to continue there.
[2022-04-07 04:21:57 PM] : But if it's an unnatural fit for subject matter, and in-site promotion for existing content is a pain - a separate domain where you can write content to that topic and easily cross-promote the product within would probably be best.

1. You do not need to pay for registering another domain name.
2. You have full control over the name you choose for your product's subdomain, subject only to trademark law.
3. If your websites are low traffic, you can host all of them in the same physical host machine, saving money if you use the Cloud for hosting.
[2022-04-08 12:31:11 PM] : I’m gonna go for the single site. Much simpler and I see few benefits to make a separate site worth the trouble.
I was doubting because I see so many dev products have their own domain/site. Perhaps it’s because devs like buying domains and there’s no real argument from a business perspective.

[2022-04-08 01:26:29 PM] : So to be able to use subdomains without confusing your previous customers, you need to register some bland domain name and put your keywords as the subdomain name. The dogsarethebest.whatever example is not bland. But dogsarethebest.whatever.stuff would work.
[2022-04-11 07:12:19 AM] : I went with my domain for my writing, and individual domains for products and I wouldn't recommend it - particularly after a while when your domain has SEO/backlinks, starting from scratch each time takes too long (unless you're super famous)
