update on my work: i

[2022-07-07 06:13:04 PM] : update on my work: i decided to add to my product offerings by creating some videos, then got frustrated with the video creation process and quit, then later decided i had made a poor decision and came back to the videos even though it’s not my favorite kind of work in the world. today i finished my latest video which also happened to be the hardest one so far. but that makes 5 of 7 planned videos on the books, so 71% done. just two more to go and i can launch!

[2022-07-07 06:15:40 PM] : in case anyone is curious what the videos are, they’re the five most recent videos on my youtube channel https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCSUA5RARrNt4-Ik3qtbETLQ/videos [2022-07-10 07:34:00 PM] : :muscle: [2022-07-13 06:08:41 AM] : Do you publish all 7 videos on youtube, and then sell them as a higher pricing tier in addition to the book? [2022-07-13 06:53:53 AM] : that’s the plan! [2022-07-13 07:14:02 PM] : > Do you publish all 7 videos on youtube, and then sell them as a higher pricing tier in addition to the book? >
that’s the plan!
jasonswett curious about your thinking behind this approach (if you have the bandwidth to share). [2022-07-13 08:47:14 PM] : hmm, not sure what to say about it [2022-07-14 06:54:03 AM] : Currently recording 16 videos (2 diff tiers) to sell as a video course. What I plan to make public are the code, and some blog posts derived from videos, and perhaps a video or two. My personal restraint against publishing all videos on YouTube is that people don’t have an incentive to buy. Perhaps you arrived at a different conclusion? [2022-07-14 09:45:30 AM] : yeah, my belief based on what i’ve seen/read/experienced is that something being available for free doesn’t stop people from buying it
