Anyone got experienc

[2022-11-07 08:12:11 AM] : Anyone got experience of hosting an "Ask Me Anything" webinar? It goes against the grain here of being specific so thought I would ask as I'm wondering if it could still add value to my audience. This has come about as I'm considering running a "Christmas Lectures" style event and normally the Q+A parts of presentations are really useful. I'm also looking at something that has a low prep burden on me atm. Another thought on this, rather than completely freeform, is to poll my audience for a theme, and then give people the opportunity to send in questions ahead of time so I can prep a little bit to get them some decent answers - but not a whole webinars worth. That way is becomes a series of mini ebombs and hopefully great value for my audience.

[2022-11-07 04:06:20 PM] : we're a HUGE fan of the AMA format. it's non-specific in one way (topic) but very specific in another way (free access to you and your knowledge for a very specific window and in a very specific way. [2022-11-08 04:39:54 AM] : Thanks alex I was looking at charging a small amount for this. Not sure if that swings it back to being not specific enough? [2022-11-08 05:16:28 AM] : Did that in August. Announcement: [senfcall.de](https://christiantietze.de/posts/2022/08/10-year-anniversary-ama/> Retro: https://christiantietze.de/posts/2022/09/10-year-indieversary-ama-postmortem/ Learnings: 1. The GDPR compliant, Germany-hosted Big Blue Button platform <http://senfcall.de) was confusing at least 2 people. Use something more mainstream instead. 2. It was a lot of fun. "Only" 5 people were there at the same time, max, but just hosting an informal hang-out was interesting.
