[2022-11-09 05:46:05 AM] : Hey Jeff S just to add to alex’s comments. This is something I've really felt (feel) too i.e. "who am I to express an opinion in this space" - imposter syndrome some call it. In one of Brennan Dunns recent emails he put it this way:
Would someone who was learning, say, how to write their first “Hello World” computer program learn better from someone who regularly writes academic papers on software design… or from someone who, just a few months ago, struggled through writing their first program?
I found that perspective useful, and a small confidence boost. The key thing to remember in my personal experience is to think about how you present your advice to others. I've had most success by taking the angle of "this is my experience, I struggled with xyz which you might be too, if so, this is what worked for me." My target audience have a core world view of "we are all constantly learning and that is a good thing because no-one knows it all". Therefore, as long as I'm honest when I don't know something then they're not going to flame me when I get something wrong - and I get stuff wrong all the time! haha! Re-transcription, you might want to check out descript.com as they have an automated feature, which needs some help. Another audience you might consider is podcasters (as a podcaster myself, getting decent transcriptions is a challenge - I've used upwork quite a bit for support with podcast production and bits like this.) Hope that helps and best of luck. [2022-11-13 10:12:27 PM] : Hi Samir thank you for your input. I have huge imposter syndrome. That Brennan Dunn quote is insightful. What you said about how you present your advice to others and your target audience’s core worldview of constant learning and being honest is helpful. Thanks also for pointing me to descript.com and the podcasters audience. I’ll definitely look into them. Your input is indeed helpful and best of luck to you too.
