[2023-02-07 10:48:34 AM] : interestingly, out of the four inquiries i received from my recent “consulting launch”, all four of the prospects had roughly the same scenario: they’re people who don’t have a strong programming background but for one reason or another find themselves in charge of a software system.
so it seems to me like the most straightforward thing i can do is this: for my next consulting launch, instead of extending the vague offer of “hire me for consulting”, i can offer a specific service for people who don’t have a programming background but now find themselves in charge of a software system. i can put up a sales page that speaks to the specific pains that such people experience. and in time, i can add testimonials to that page from my existing clients. then maybe next time i launch my services i’ll get some more bites from people who might not have previously imagined that my services fit their needs.
