Curious question.Ea

[2023-03-02 04:07:55 PM] : Curious question. Early in the course part 1, it recommends setting up a wordpress site just to get going. Theres also a list of a few recommended plugins at some point. Is there a reason that none of the plugins are for SEO? Such as Yoast, which is often found amongst plugin recommendations for wordpress

The main additive thing that you could do would be to connect your site to Google so that it gets submitted and your posts regularly indexed. But the SEO plugins are nice-to-have not need-to-have. [2023-03-03 03:19:59 AM] : Thanks Kirsten Lambertsen, that's very interesting! I always figured wordpress was "SEO-native" so to speak  But I just never found anywhere that can give me the granular control (changing titles, etc.) the way I want, except for Yoast. But yours and Alex' answer puts my concerns to rest, I will just leave it as-is for now and then potentially do some SEO in 6 months from now when ebombing has become a nobrainer! Thanks for chiming in :muscle: [2023-03-03 07:45:22 AM] : I use "Rank Math" for this having switch from Yoast. Its pretty easy to use and gives me a score - if nothing else to make sure I do the easy wins - but I don't spend a lot of time with it.
