Going through the co

[2023-09-14 08:57:05 PM] : Going through the course for the first-ish time, I was wondering, how much time should I spend painstorming/safari-ing watering holes versus continuing along the course? I'm pretty time-strapped, so one will naturally take from the other, which is fine, I'm on a marathon here, not a sprint, but I can also imagine that having some research done will help make the rest of the lessons more concrete.

I've returned multiple times to the lessons through time. [2023-09-15 07:28:44 AM] : I had this issue too. I wasn't sure what level of skill set I needed to develop before moving on, in case I missed something or got left behind. Personally I've discovered I kind of need to see something like this end-to-end before then going back to work through everything. It is not for everyone and part of what I think alex and amy are trying to do is build habits before moving on, which does make a lot of sense. Also there are parts in the later sections which you kind of need to have done earlier sections to fully get right (fix storming etc) but, if I was advising me again, I'd say, for me, I would recommended getting through everything, getting good orientation and then going back through it "properly" and then expect to probably do that a few times (as has been the case). Hope that helps you a little :slightly_smiling_face: [2023-09-15 08:56:01 AM] : Thanks for the responses! I'll mull over it for now and come up with something. Thanks for sharing your experience Samir, at least I know that pushing on ahead won't put me behind in some significant way  [2023-09-15 09:18:57 AM] : My pleasure. I guess I'm just saying that is what worked for me in the end - knowing the end goal enabled me see how the canvas all inter played together. Which then helped me on the earlier stuff as I knew where it fitted. Its a non linear thing they are trying to teach in a linear platform so its pretty tough to do. In the end though, Safari underpins everything so you can't really do enough of it. This might make you laugh but whenever I create a new product I feel I need to be able to produce my "Safari evidence of that pain in the wild", with all the direct quotes and jargon, from multiple threads across multiple watering holes, if alex ever asked! Saves me time and again! haha [2023-09-15 03:52:18 PM] : +1 to what the others said. we strongly recommend moving forward, and returning to early lessons again later when you have that big picture. learning this stuff isn't "linear" like many other skills, it's more like a spiral. always learning and improving and moving forward.
