Right, so I was look

[2023-09-19 09:12:49 PM] : Right, so I was looking through the Laracasts forum for juicy threads and more often than not finding a lot of threads where there's a very quick "how do i do x?" with a very simple and direct answer of either "this page in the documentation" or "that's not a real thing." well actually they seem a bit more active today than yesterday so maybe i just needed to keep clicking through to find more from last week. I ended up pulling out a few threads based on some searches of terms i thought would be interesting but I guess I'm wondering what would make a thread juicy? Is it lots of views? Lots of replies (that doesn't seem to happen often)?

There isn't a single heuristic here, but it's useful to notice the way people ask questions, and give answers. e.g. what you say is a very simple "read the docs" or "that's not a thing" may be true, but the same questions over and over are a good clue that there's something that's commonly missed, misunderstood, or very painful. Another thing to notice is if answers given actually helpful, or are they dismissive as if to suggest "you should already know that" or "you should know better" or "not that question again." These clues can turn a "sleepy" thread into a strong signal, especially when it starts showing up as a pattern! [2023-09-21 08:42:42 PM] : ahh thanks, that's helpful [2023-09-21 08:43:27 PM] : i haven't really gotten a feel for the regulars on this forum yet so haven't really noticed if they're impatient because they're getting the same questions repeatedly or if it's just a bunch of jerks. [2023-09-21 10:13:09 PM] : I personally assume good faith until given evidence otherwise. [2023-09-21 10:13:32 PM] : But glad this framing helped! [2023-09-25 07:41:34 PM] : lol going through the lessons about keywords now and that's adding to full picture [2023-09-25 07:41:57 PM] : Theeeeere you go  [2023-09-25 07:42:14 PM] : A lot of the time if you aren't sure, there's a lesson ahead. Keep going!
