Well i was thinking
[2023-10-24 10:37:30 PM] : Well i was thinking of the question "How to start" (affiliate marketing that is) and as much as i have a lot of ideas on how to break/narrow down this question, I'm afraid that those ideas are subjective. For instance, I could include there a first step which is "finding a niche" (or maybe since I am now in 30x500 i can even say finding an audience). But that's me. I haven't seen any questions or pains so far that express that (though there are some articles in the past i've read that address niche selection in affiliate marketing).

[2023-10-25 09:11:17 AM] : I'd like to see your safari notes, in fact!
[2023-10-26 07:08:48 AM] : They're literally asking that question
[2023-10-26 07:10:29 AM] : Here's an example thread [File hidden by Slack limit]
[2023-10-26 07:13:10 AM] : Here's another one, not really saying "How to start" exactly but implies it by "going to show me step by step" (note for this one i haven't even began adding it to my notes which ill do shortly) [File hidden by Slack limit]
[2023-10-26 07:16:36 AM] : alex i sent you a link to my notes privately
[2023-10-26 12:07:54 PM] : got it! so yes...they're literally asking that question, but the fact that it's a vague question is actually a clue.
it's your job to ask yourself "why are they asking such a vague question?" or even, why is it vague? here's a hint: what might they believe, or not know, that leads them to ask a vague question?
[2023-10-26 12:12:16 PM] : I looked at your safari notes, and when it comes to spotting pain, they're quite good! have you tried taking notes on Jargon and recommendations yet?
here's why I ask: the "how do I get started" is a recurring pain, but it's too vague to actually be useful. vague pain -> vague dream, and vague fixes.
when I look at your notes just for jargon, a lot more than "how do I get started" stands out to me. when you notice patterns in jargon associated with the pain, it instantly gets a LOT crispier and a lot more specific, which would lead you to creating MUCH more focused/specific ebombs.
take a look through that lens and tell me what you see!
[2023-10-26 07:50:48 PM] : Thanks Alex... I stepped back to the initial Painstorming lessons so the Jargons, worldviews and recommends aren't in my notes yet. But good point.
[2023-10-27 08:18:53 AM] : Give it a try - what potential ebomb topics besides "how to get started" do you see?
[2023-10-27 09:25:33 AM] : Yes sir i will :slightly_smiling_face: I guess the "how do i get started" question is just too strong and too common that I wanted to attack it first..
With regards to the patterns in the jargon, or even in pattern recognition itself, i think i still need to find my way there.
[2023-10-27 09:42:15 AM] : That's good! The thing about ebombs is they don't need to be the BIGGEST or most commonpain point to be very valuable. You do want them to be as focused as possible, getting the reader a quick win so they think "oh that was actually helpful! How else could they help me?
Start with these two questions:
• knowing what you know, why might so many people ask "how do I get started?" What might be missing from the info out there, or missing from their experience or expectations?
• for jargon, even looking at the painstorming youve already, what specific issues could you create something small and focused to help them with?
[2023-10-27 07:14:11 PM] : Great inputs Alex.. I think i already have a couple of those jargons i should focus on :slightly_smiling_face: Thank you so much for these
[2023-10-27 07:23:07 PM] : You're welcome! What do you see?
[2023-11-05 07:22:11 PM] : Well one particular jargon comes up - "funnels" then there's "niche" (coincidentally im here wrestling with "audiences" then niche is one word that comes up often lol)
