A mention of Black F
[2023-11-16 05:51:58 AM] : A mention of Black Friday in another channel got me thinking. What's the best way to do a Black Friday sale? I've been thinking about doing a sale for that weekend, but I'm not sure if it's best to start promoting it in advance or what? What's worked for others in the past?

[2023-11-16 10:13:15 AM] : in the past i’ve tended to treat it like a launch. I pick a start date and end date, prepare the sales page (add black friday banner, etc), get some emails written, and send at least a “doors open” email when it starts and a “doors closing” email before it ends, and maybe an email to get people ready (a day or 2 before). Last year it looked like this: [File hidden by Slack limit]

[2023-11-16 10:16:04 AM] : a problem from last year was people thinking the sale started Wednesday (when that first email arrived), even though it definitely said the sale was starting Friday :joy:
