also, how long shoul

[2024-02-13 01:44:28 PM] : also, how long should it take to launch your first product? in the 30x500 videos, there is a launch sequence of 5 ebombs. Is dropping one launch ebomb a week a good cadence? That means that if we start the launch sequence as soon as we pick what product to build, we can have ~5 weeks to launch a product? I think before seeing that video I was planning to launch a product in 2 weeks, is that too ambitious?

[2024-02-13 01:49:42 PM] : I usually send email launch sequence over the course of a week [2024-02-13 02:09:37 PM] : Yep same, I space them out over a week or 2, with a day or 2 between emails. I’ve usually done at least one or a few emails leading up to doors open, then a “doors are open” email, then a few mid-launch ones (ebombs, maybe an FAQ), then a few closer-spaced ones toward the end. Stuff like “closing tomorrow”, then “closing today”, maybe even a “closing in 2 hours” near the end [2024-02-13 02:11:23 PM] : oh, but if the question is the product development [2024-02-13 02:11:27 PM] : varies hugely [2024-02-13 02:23:20 PM] : Yea so I was wondering about both the launch sequence and the product development. How long should product development take? I understand it can vary hugely, but what is a good timeline to shoot for, assuming I can scope down the product too so that I can meet the timeline. [2024-02-13 02:30:52 PM] : if you could do a product in a day that would be valuable and people would pay for, that's pretty cool [2024-02-13 02:31:14 PM] : but I've never managed anything that quickly [2024-02-13 02:54:16 PM] : ok, so I think what you're saying is, as quickly as possible? [2024-02-13 02:54:56 PM] : I'm just wondering what is a good size of product / amount of time to shoot for for a first product [2024-02-13 02:57:23 PM] : yeah, as small as possible while still addressing a crispy pain IMO. I did a book as my first one and it took months to write. Kinda wish I had scoped it down more and saved the rest for V2 or something. [2024-02-14 02:01:14 AM] : I am trying to stick to the rule of thumb from Launch-FTW (delivered in style !) ‘Your goal is to save them 10 hours of work or money—not to totally makeover their life.’ ’Keep it small and sharp; the bigger the project, the harder the fail [2024-02-16 10:27:11 PM] : BINGO
