[2024-02-19 03:17:47 PM] : I don't have anything concrete to share, but my understanding is that yes including a link heavily reduces reach. I'm stubborn and still include links, but I have a few friends who have switched to including a link in a thread and they said they've noticed a big difference.

So perhaps the answer is have a short thread that starts with a long form post and end it with a link

It would make sense if that happens “organically” as links lead to fewer interactions & therefore reach, but I also suspect that factor has changed since a few years back. But this is combined with me not tweeting much, having a mix of target audiences, etc. too
[2024-02-22 08:34:49 AM] : Anecdotally, I almost never see tweets with links in them anymore. It's all either regurgitated wisdom from influencer "gurus", memes, or MRR bragging.
