Question re: bloggin
[2024-03-14 07:59:04 AM] : Question re: blogging platforms
For the sake of my sanity, I'm going to do future-me a favor and stop tinkering with the theming system in my previously set up Hugo blog in favor of a hosted solution.
Is Wordpress still the preferred platform?

Wordpress (and tech in general) becomes a complete pain/distraction so its best to go with the recommendations and focus on the audience imho... clearly I ignored that and wasted large chunks of my life on evaluating tech, only for them to change the goal posts on me. Lesson: no tech solution is ideal, they all have a lot of compromises so perhaps think of it as a stepping stone. You don't buy a car expecting it to last forever, and yes its a pita to change, but does it get you places? yes? then (try your best!) to focus on that and just take any old rental to get you moving.
