SoundSwitch only notify on changes that happened in Windows unless you used a hotkey or profile.
If the problem persists even without SoundSwitch running that means it's something else.

BBest I can suggest is to reset the config in that case.
But this is not an expected behavior for SoundSwitch.
Unless you have a profile or use the hotkey SoundSwitch won't change your audio devices.
Do you use another program like SteelSeries Sonar ?
