I'm thinking about putting my anarchy server into offline mode so more players can join. What's the best way to prevent players from logging in as someone else without having to enter a password and all that nonsense?

Auth Me reloaded will do, it basically makes players register with a password, there's really no other way of doing that with some kind of authentication
fastlogin will add a magical /premium command for premium players so they don't have to login every time (yes, i call them premium players, deal with it)

Actually, I've had a think about my personal ethics and here's my thought:
It is not ethical (or legal) but still acceptable (to me) to pirate minecraft to play locally
BUT
A minecraft network being cracked is deeply unethical as they will make money off of their players, and therefore the players have money to pay and mojang should be paid for developing the game.
