Help install Bazzite on Asus Strix G15 2021
ASUS ROG Strix G15 (2021) Gaming Laptop, 15.6” 300Hz IPS Type FHD Display, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070, AMD Ryzen R9 - 5900HX, 16GB DDR4, 1TB PCIe NVMe SSD, RGB Keyboard, Windows 10, G513QR - ES96
The bios is version 331
I have been trying to install bazzite-asus-nvidia-open and bazzite-nvidia, but unless I add acpi=off or modprobe.blacklist=nouveau I can't make it to the Language selection screen. If I do acpi=off I can finish the installation, but then I can't get to the login screen before it freezes. If I add modprobe.blacklist=nouveau I make it to the language selection and my track pad works for a few seconds before the screen freezes.
Here is what I have tried:
acpi_osi=! "acpi_osi=Windows 2021" and acpi_osi=! "acpi_osi=Windows 2020" caused a freeze at the Booting a command list screen
acpi_osi=Linux froze at systemd-vconsole-setup.service line
pcie_aspm=off didn't make it to the systemd-vconsole-setup.service line before the screen went black and froze
nvme_core.default_ps_max_latency_us=5500 made it past the systemd-vconsole-setup.service line but then went to a black screen and froze there
processor.max_cstate=1 froze at the systemd-vconsole-setup.service line
acpi_rev_override=1 made it all the way to the Welcome to Bazzite-asus-nvidia-open 42 screen but was frozen, so the track pad and keyboard did not respond.
