Constant VAN 185 Disconnects – Tried Everything
Hey, I’ve been getting hit with VAN 185 non-stop, and it’s making the game completely unplayable.
Here’s what I’ve already tried:
-Uninstalled and reinstalled Vanguard
-Completely uninstalled and reinstalled Valorant
-Fully formatted my PC and reinstalled Windows
-Updated all drivers and BIOS
Despite all that, I still get disconnected and kicked with VAN 185 after launching the game.
Can you help me figure out what’s going wrong or what’s triggering this? I just want to play without getting booted every time.

25-35 maximun is 40

yea i fix it
first of all you need to go to task manager and end task of vanguard
then head to search and type "ser" it will show you "services"
click it
after it open search for "vgc"
and then click it once
then click start
then enter valorant
there's 50% you play freely and 50% they will kick you
if they kicked you
just do the steps again
and it's now 100% you'll play freely
you can code an .bat file to do it for you but you gotta run it as admin
idk if you can trust me but just go ask chat gpt about vgc and how to start it using .bat file and end task of vanguard and stuff like this

yea normal you just didn't started vgc right or something bad happen, it's just vanguard didn't woke up
restart your pc
and look
downlaud it and run it as admin 0 malware you can ask chat gpt
it will just stope vanguard and start vgc
I coded it and I use it always to fix the van 185 problem

Hi guys, I managed to solve the problem, try going to the panel of your internet box and opening your ports, look on the internet there are lots of videos for each wifi box so try opening your ports, it worked for me
It isn't the internet for me, it is account based for many of us, it makes no sense
Try removing any sd cards you may have, that’s working for a lot of people

But would appreciate vanguard logs and riot ids to help diagnose the problem quicker

It’s a folder called Logs in your vanguard install folder

Meanwhile try this workaround and see if it works for you guys-
If you enter firing range at all, wait in lobby for 10 minutes before queuing a match to avoid van185
If it works let me know

Or try this- go in firing range for 7 min, exit and then enter firing range again and see if you get van 185

I think the current van185 has to do with joining different games too quickly- for example going from firing range immediately to a new match or another firing range
But if you leave 10 min gap between games it should be ok
Just a workaround until we fix this issue

we are rolling out a fix, you shouldn't need the workaround anymore
fix should be deployed globally now

i beg of you please also fix critical error, valorant is such an unstable game that it crashes literal 4090s. please search up critical error in community help and see what everyones getting, this is such an issue and it is so heartbreaking.
cant even play the game it causes WINDOWS to have a problem because of valorant..
