genshin dying after splash screen, anticheet issue?
A few days ago, I started getting a problem where Genshin impact (previously working under Proton 10-3) would crash after clicking start on the splash screen.

From what I can see, it is trying to load WDFLDR.SYS, which a bit of web snooping seems to indicate is a kernel-level anti-cheat.
Is there a work-around?

P.S. Why in the world does HoYo need kernel-level anticheat for a game which is not really competative multi-player?
