How to Install Decky Loader?
good day,
I tried installing it the normal way just like on steam deck but it didn't show in the side menu, tried wiping and re-installing again with no luck. I already have developer mode enabled in gaming mode

ujust setup-decky
you don't need to enable developer mode or any of this stuffI guess I tried this and still didn't show in the side menu, will try again later and see
ok I just did this, still doesn't show me the decky loader Icon
does the
homebrew
folder exists in your home folder?yeah it does
try
ujust setup-decky uninstall
and rerun ujust setup-decky
sadly same issue
;-;
I think the official installer from decky.xyz messed the things up
you didn't supposed to run it in a first place
oof ;-;
I launched the installer and chose "wipe", idk if there is still files
actually let's try something
does the folder
/home/deck
exists?nah
not even in the hidden folders
huh
oh sorry it does lol
is there something in it?
yeah, the regular folders, wait i will send a screenshot

so it matches with ones on your home folder, got it
idk what to suggest then
I've got steam deck myself too, I've used
ujust setup-decky
and it worked
I may suggest a nuclear method, but before I do let me ask you this - have you downloaded any games on steam yet?yeah, I have dowloaded some, but they are on my PC also
you'll have to download it all over again anyway since we'll delete steam. maybe that'll help
are you ok with it?
sure, will give it a try
but before that, is this folder structure normal?

I'll look it up on my deck, hold on
it seems so, but we'll get rig of this too for now
go ahead and disable steam from system tray, after that delete
homebrew
folder and .local/share/Steam
. empty the trash! then go back to gaming modeay, I will check this later, gotta sleep for now, thanks for the help :3
I'm not sure that'll help, but still. I don't really wanna recommend reinstalling the system
did a reinistall, now I can see the icon finally :3
not really a surprise here, but I guess the issue was resolved?
yeah finally :3
you can also see
ujust --choose
for other useful commands
