External Library functionality

I hope this is the right place to put this question. If not, please point me to the right place. I am running Immich on Unraid. It is updated to the most recent version(ghcr.io/imagegenius/immich:1.134.0-cuda) on unraid. I am having issues with External Libraries. I may be setting my expectations incorrectly though. I have 3 users and 1 admin on the system. The admin will(as required) add external libraries. The admin will not upload any photos or use the app. They will only manage the external libraries. I want the external libraries to show up in the users feeds. I added an external library with 6 photos in it via the Admin. The photos show up in the Admin feed. When I log in with another user, the photos do not show up in the users feed. I can create an album as the admin and then share it out to the users and they they can see it in the shared folder but not in the timeline. Is there a way to either have the external libraries show up in the users timeline? If not, is there a way to create an album based on an external library. I expect to have multiple external libraries(digital camera, digital art, etc.) and want to be able manage them separately versus one big album. there are no errors in the logs but I am working on finding the docker and .env files. I will add those when I find them.

When creating the library you need to assign it to the user

I want all users to have access(ro) to it. I assign an owner when creating it. One way around it is that I can create a user for each external library and then share their entire feed via partner sharing. I would rather be able to share an external library with users

Partner sharing is the only way right now

Hi. I have another External Library question. For the Docker Unraid setup, I set an internal library path. I was under the impression that this would then import the photos. When nothing happened, I dragged and dropped in my photos. Do I need to continue having an external library connected? My understanding is Immich moved copies of the original photos into the upload directory. I's liek to now eliminate the external library.

External libraries are not moved to internal

Thank you. Great response by the bot. That was impressive. In the Unraid Docker settings, does an External Library path need to be set? When you say External Libraries are not moved to internal, does that mean to the internal Docker container, or to the upload folder? I misread the username...I thought it said botz, not bootz...sorry about that
