Waist and inseam sizes when thrifting pants online.
I use Poshmark to thrift for jeans sometimes. Since I can't try them on before buying them, and also have to look out for vanity waist sizing, I can only buy pairs that have photos of waist laying flat and inseam measurements included. I learned this the hard way, hemming isn't cheap.
- How do you measure your waist and inseam for yourself and get a reasonably accurate result? Or should I go to a professional tailor and have them measure for me?
- Once you have that info, how do you bridge your actual waist circumference with a WLF measurement? Especially with how the pants' rise can affect the fit. (See example photos.)
- How important is knowing the front rise measurement? Some listings include it, some don't.
