Gamemode HDMI No Audio
Hello,
I'm running bazzite-deck on a VM with an AMD GPU passthrough. (RX 7800 XT) When booting on my TV connected via HDMI to the GPU, I have no audio in game mode (Both on the Steam Deck UI and any games) and my Audio output gets default set to auto_null.
I can see that the expected output device is there (Navi 31 HDMI/DP Audio) but when I switch to it. It keeps defaulting back to auto_null and when it's set to Navi 31 HDMI/DP Audio the sound proceeds to not work.
I can confirm that when I swap to desktop mode the audio works as expected and the HDMI audio is detected and set to it by default.
I can also confirm that the audio continues to work in Steam Big Picture from desktop mode so it seems exclusively an issue with game mode. Additionally, when I connect via Sunshine/Moonlight. The audio proceeds to work, even in game mode (sink-sunshine-stereo) for both the Steam Deck UI and any games. I've not had any issues with delayed sound or crackling at all.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated on how I could resolve this issue or if anyone else seems to be facing this issue. I've attempted to disable every audio device in KDE but to no avail since the HDMI is the only output device. A workaround is to swap to desktop mode and use Steam Big Picture but I would ideally like to stick to Game Mode as that's one of the main reasons for installing bazzite.
