DH causing Crash on new PC
Hi all. Ive been using DH for well over a year now with very few issues. Ive recently swapped my old rig (Intel CPU and Nvidia GPU based) for a shiny new PC (specs posted below). Ive not changed my modlist or game version but I am getting CTDs when I run DH now.
PC specs:
CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 9900X3D
GPU: AMD RX 9070 XT
RAM: 48GB Corsair Vengeance DDR5
Drive: Samsung EVO 990 Plus
I have gone through all the usual troubleshooting as stated in the FAQs, my PC is a fresh Win11 install, not 2 weeks old with Drivers manually checked and updated.
I redownloaded DH, deleted the config, made a fresh reinstall of MC, I use the Vanilla Launcher, I tried removing mods one by one, I changed my graphics settings, ive updated my drivers, I even tried running on the CPUs integrated graphics to rule out my GPU, I reinstalled my drivers, I tried generating new worlds in case my old ones were corrupted, I optimized my worlds, with and without Shaders active (I tried BLS, Complementary Reimagined, Complementary Unbound and Make-Fast shaders) etc.
Below I will post the Crash Report and Modlist (yes I tried running DH with minimum Mods aka Fabric, Fabric AP, Iris, Sodium (and separately also with Tectonic and Lithostiched as all my worlds use that worldgen mod) and it still crashes like this)
The crash always occurs when loading into a world at the "Loading Terrain" part.

I managed to load into the world by disabling DH in the menu before loading in and activating again when loaded in. Complementary Unbound (my main shader) failed to load. BLS does load.
All 4 shaders I got I made sure were DH-compatible when looking for shaders to use
I tried going trough the shaders again ... Now all of them loaded without an error message
RDNA 2/3 I assume? Seems pretty common for those types of GPUs to suffer this specific issue.
Still no idea how this can happen in the first place.
yeah im confused. It seems stable if I disable the shader and DH before loading into the world and re-enabling it when im in
(RDNA 4)
*RDNA 2 and above.
So far, nobody with RDNA 1 (5000 series) has reported similar issues.
I have the same GPU: However the disabling DH and enabling it after I joined the server does not work for me.
Ok somehow it fixed itself. I disabled the rendering and waited a bit in the server. I know can enter the server with DH render enabled. I get updates from the server etc.
Ok I observed another thing. When I restart minecraft and join the server the game crashes again.
But also again this can be mitigated by disabling the rendering and then joining the server.
I then wait till the File Handler and Requests are:
File Handler: not increasing anymore
Requests 160/160
When I then enable the rendering of the lods again I do not get a crash again.
This also persists if a exit the server, but doesn't close the minecraft client completely.
I can also join a single player game and after that join the server and it is still fine.
I am getting the same crash code i even made a post not too long ago.
