external processing for thumbnail and video encoding?

Im running immich on a proxmox server with the data hosted on a synology nas via nfs.
is there anyway i can get a PC to process the thumbnail and video encoding?
I been trying for the past 2 weeks to work, but i cant get the nfs to mount on the pc and when i mount it with smb it keep trying to find the "/usr/src/app/upload" when it is just the root dir.
