Character is unplayable
So I'm about 20 hours into my first modded playthrough, with Calamity and some standard QOL mods shown here. I just logged in today. I found myself unable to play as my main character. The name is displayed in gray, as shown, with a message labeled (Unknown Error). It also doesn't show the armor, health, or mana of my player, and I can't play on it. It worked perfect just last night, and I haven't touched my computer or its settings since. Relogging proved ineffective. Any idea as to why this is happening or how to fix it?

Welcome to #support-forum. Before someone helps you, please first consult the information in #TML Troubleshooting Guide and try all the suggestions that might fit your particular issue, especially in the linked FAQ page.
If the information in the pinned thread does not solve your issue, please post all log files by dragging and dropping them into this chat. In Steam right click on
tModLoader in the library, then hover over Manage and click on Browse local files. In the folder that appears find tModLoader-Logs and open that folder. Inside that folder are the logs files. Select them all except the Old folder and drag them into this chat. i have backups from every time I've played the world. the link above from the discord app only explained how to restore a world backup, and attempting to do the same for my player with the most recent two backups didn't work
The player backups are in
Documents\My Games\Terraria\tModLoader\Players\Backups
So just nab it there and paste the actual plr file in Documents\My Games\Terraria\tModLoader\Playersstormy-goldOP•5mo ago
so i think it just fully didnt save anything to the last backup from what i can tell the zipped folder is just empty but i think it saved from the day before
the world and player are both unplayable but i restored the player
