Iris does not work with Sodium
I am using Sodium 0.6.13 and Iris 1.8.0 Beta (the issue on github uses 1.8.1) and it says that it's not compatible.

Sodium 0.6.13 will break Iris 1.8.7 and below. You will need Iris 1.8.8 and above for it to work.
I use 1.21.3 sadly 😦
Then you must downgrade sodium to 0.6.8
uh....... it exited with code -1
You will need Iris 1.8.3 or higher to work with Sodium 0.6.8.
Ah my bad
Iris 1.8.1 was to support sodium 0.6.1, i thought it worked with later versions up to 8
I don't see Iris 1.8.3 or higher with mc 1.21.3
Right, it didn’t update past 1.8.1 for 1.21.3
Your only option would be downgrading Sodium to 0.6.3, if I recall correctly.
So 1.8.1 is sodium 0.6.1-0.6.3, 1.8.3 is sodium 0.6.2-0.6.8, correct?
While Sodium provide updates for all minor versions of Minecraft every major releases, Iris only updates to the latest version of Minecraft. If a Sodium update introduces breaking changes, only those that stays on the latest version won't be affected as much.
Effectively, yes.
it still crashes....

Push comes to shove, try Sodium 0.6.1.
Oh, you're using the beta version of Iris. Yeah move away from that. No release version of Sodium is compatible with that.
Using Iris 1.8.1 just leads to the same error with Sodium 0.6.1
idk why
I got a screenshot

I deleted Continuity, it was a mod conflict

I now use 1.8.1 but it exited with code 1
Okay after a while I fixed it!
