AI Editors/Extensions
So, i've been using Copilot for a year now, and it seems like it gets worse over time. I have a student discount, so i get decent models there. Or i had.
Recently i started using Gemini models and they legit just suck inside copilot, not using tools or missing the files.
So, the question from the title: What AI Editor(Cursor) or Exnesion(Cline,Roo,Kilo) are the best and why? I will be using them with my Gemini API Key
I am no longer linked to Copilot, so i want something that wont make me want to punch the wall. Liking Cline so far, but i miss the ability to approve every single change. It just makes me rely fully on AI to do stuff unless i want to manually approve every action.
Btw the FAQ link doesn't work for me in the rules lmao.

Sadly, no longer a student. Though i dont need the features - i have my own api key for gemini
i see.
yeah, you can try use gemini there with your own key, but i personally mostly use claude 4, but switch sometimes to gemini pro too.
I have tiny context window PTSD with claude 4 from Copilot.
I am.. reveling in 1M context window of gemini
