BTRFS assistant does not launch, requires sudo command

When I launch BTRFS-A via the app icon i am prompted to enter the password but the GUI does not launch. sudo btrfs-assistant works as intended.
Edit: Im on Bazzite Gnome btw, both my installs on different machines have this issue
