Where is the best place to set extruder run current?
First question: I had thought by choosing performance mode in the RatOS configurator that I had already set the run current to 0.85A rms but it seems that my Orbiter-2.cfg is still using 0.707 A rms?
Second bonus question what is the consensus on running 0.85A rms in a 65C chamber at 0.85A rms....is that a step to far?

people sometimes select the wrong include for orbitor. Drop your config in here to check]
As above for some reason it has included the 0.707 extruder stepper motor config rather than the 0.85A. Where in the RatOS configurator do you get to select the 0.85A option? I had incorrectly assumed that selecting performance mode would set the extruder current t0 0.85 amps.
I think it should @miklschmidt any advice?
0.85 is melty, toggle the advanced stepper config and pick it there.
The include isn’t actually included unless you do it manually
2.1 primarily use those files for metadata.
(As you should be able to deduce from the generated RatOS.cfg)
Many thanks. The 'melty' comment make me think I will leave it as it is as my insulated chamber gets pretty hot and it might be pushing my luck a bit to far. But great to get an understanding. many thanks
