and sun's energy efficency is 1kW per square meter
1 kWh = 3.6 * 10^6 joules per day
The sun delivers 1000 joules per square meter per second
The energy that gets converted by the panels = 19% of that = 190 joules per square meter per second
= 5.4 * 10^6 joules per square meter per day (considering an 8 hour day)
now just divide the required 3.6 * 10^6 by 5.4 * 10^6 to get the area required
did i mess up the calculations? is the answer supposed to be below 1
tht gives 0.6 right
uh huh
but ans is 25
💀
lemme recheck
nope it is 25m square
sorry im goofy
the houses use 40kWh not one
that's = 1.44 * 10^8 joules
yh they do
lmao thts ok
divide that by the 5.4 * 10^6 joules that we actually get from the sun
that gives around 25
yup tht gives 26.3
got it
bet
also
zumdahl?
ys
what chem chapter is this
this is physics
thermochemistry
oh 💀 makes sense
chp 6
there was no chemistry involved
lmao true
maths
pure maths
